Voltage Control of DC Microgrids: Robustness for Unknown ZIP-Loads

چکیده
In this letter we propose a new passivity-based control technique for Buck converter based DC microgrids comprising ZIP-loads, i.e., loads with the parallel combination of constant impedance (Z), current (I) and power (P). More precisely, novel passifying input storage function on mixed potential introduced by Brayton Moser, relaxing restrictive (sufficient) conditions Z, P voltage reference, which are usually assumed to be satisfied in literature. Consequently, develop controller that is robust respect uncertain ZIP-loads.

Modeling, Control and Protection of Low-Voltage DC Microgrids
Current trends in electric power consumption indicate an increasing use of dc in end-user equipment, such as computers and other electronic appliances used in households and offices. With a dc power system, ac/dc conversion within these loads can be avoided, and losses reduced. AC/DC conversion is instead centralized, and by using efficient, fully controllable power-electronic interfaces, high ...
متن کاملPlug-and-Play Robust Voltage Control of DC Microgrids
The purpose of this paper is to explore the applicability of linear time-invariant (LTI) dynamical systems with polytopic uncertainty for modeling and control of islanded DC microgrids under plug-and-play (PnP) functionality of distributed generations (DGs). We develop a robust decentralized voltage control framework to ensure robust stability and reliable operation for islanded DC microgrids. ...
متن کاملA Distributed Scalable Architecture using L1 Adaptive Controllers for Primary Voltage Control of DC Microgrids
This paper proposes a new distributed control architecture for distributed generation units in heterogeneous DC islanded microgrids. Each unit is equipped with state-feedback baseline and augmenting L1 adaptive voltage controllers at the primary level of the microgrid control hierarchy. Local controller synthesis is scalable as it only requires information about corresponding units, couplings, ...
متن کاملHierarchical Control of Multiple DC-Microgrids Clusters
This paper presents a distributed hierarchical control framework to ensure reliable operation of dc microgrid (MG) clusters. In this hierarchy, primary control is used to regulate the common bus voltage inside each MG locally. An adaptive droop method is proposed for this level, which determines droop coefficients according to the state-of-charge (SOC) of batteries automatically. A small-signal...
متن کاملA consensus-based secondary control layer for stable current sharing and voltage balancing in DC microgrids
In this paper, we propose a secondary consensus-based control layer for current sharing and voltage balancing in DC microGrids (mGs). To this purpose, we assume that Distributed Generation Units (DGUs) are equipped with decentralized primary controllers guaranteeing voltage stability. This goal can be achieved using, for instance, Plug-and-Play (PnP) regulators. We analyze the behavior of the c...
